Downtown Windsor Green Streetscape Survey

The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association (DWBIA) is exploring opportunities to enhance our downtown streetscapes and support the continued revitalization of the core in a thoughtful and sustainable way. As part of this work, the organization is gathering feedback from residents, visitors, and businesses on the potential role of green infrastructure at different scales.

This may include initiatives such as increased tree planting and the introduction of long-term, perennial planters in select areas throughout the downtown.

As an organization focused on supporting a vibrant and economically strong business district, the DWBIA is interested in approaches that improve the overall experience of downtown. Green infrastructure has the potential to enhance aesthetics, support comfort and wellbeing, and encourage people to spend more time in the core, benefiting both visitors and local businesses.

Any future initiatives would be guided by collaboration with subject-matter experts across relevant fields, as well as established best practices such as Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), ensuring that improvements contribute to safe, accessible, and well-functioning public spaces.
