BookFest/ Festival du Livre Windsor 2023
- This event has passed.
Bookfest/ Festival du Livre Windsor 2023 will be in-person from October 12th to 15th. Last year, our event venues included a variety of well-known Windsor establishments. This year, we are keeping it simple by hosting the entire festival at the University of Windsor’s School of Creative Arts building, the Armouries, downtown, except the last day of the festival held at Fourteen Restaurant and Sky Lounge, for Books and Brunch and the Poetry Café.
Our events include Conversations with Poets following our opening ceremonies, a special version of Friday Night Fiction – Friday the 13th Edition, Stories that Connect Us – A free virtual session, Writing that Heals, the Art of Collaboration, Breaking the Ice: Mary Ann Shadd Cary Bicentennial Celebration, Black Activist, Black Scientist, Black Icon Book Launch, Saturday Night Spotlight, Conversations avec des auteurs, Books and Brunch, and the Poetry Café. Tickets are on sale now! You can enjoy a complete festival pass, which grants you access to every event, excluding Books and Brunch. You can also purchase tickets for individual events. Tickets will be sold online and in-person during the festival at the University of Windsor’s School of Creative Arts building, the Armouries, downtown Windsor. We recommend buying your tickets ahead of time as some of our events do have capacity. The Books and Brunch event is an individualized ticket to accommodate brunch service and coffee at Fourteen Restaurant and Sky Lounge in Downtown Windsor. Books by our talented authors will be on sale during the entirety of the festival before and after each event. Literary Arts Windsor memberships will also be for sale in advance and in person at the festival. Stay tuned for news regarding this year’s authors and events!
