Returning for its second year, the Brewing for Comedy Festival is Windsor’s premier comedy event, bringing together top comedians from across North America. This grand finale promises an evening of side-splitting performances that will leave you in stitches.
In addition to delivering world-class entertainment, this year’s festival serves a greater purpose—raising funds to support the expansion of two iconic Windsor venues: Craft Heads Brewery and Phog Lounge. Dave Merheje (Headliner) is closing out the festival. He is one of the most original and dynamic comedians on the scene today. With a fearless and aggressive style, Dave has won accolades including a Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year and starred in a Netflix special as part of “Comedians of the World.” He also co-stars in the hit Hulu series Ramy and recently premiered his new special, I Love You Habibi, now streaming on Crave in Canada. Dave’s performances have lit up stages at major festivals worldwide, including Just For Laughs and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Don’t miss this chance to see him live as he delivers a show-stopping performance to close out the festival.
Organizer: Windsor Comedy Club. The Windsor Comedy Club, located inside Craft Heads Brewing Company, has been a staple of Windsor’s comedy scene since 2015. Nestled in the heart of Downtown Windsor, the club hosts a variety of shows, including “Brewing for Comedy Tuesdays,” special one-night-only events, and “Brewing for Comedy Proshows” featuring national and international touring acts. Paul Montanier, Co-Founder and Sr. Producer of Brewing for Comedy and the Windsor Comedy Club, has played a pivotal role in shaping Windsor’s comedy scene. With over a decade in comedy, Paul has opened for legendary acts like Ian Bagg, Eric D’alessandro and Kevin Farley, and his sharp wit has made him a fixture at festivals like the Motor city Comedy Festival and Gilda’s Laughfest.
Jen Richardson is known for her quirky and confident delivery and has become a fan favorite in Windsor and making a splash in Toronto. She’s opened for comedy greats like Courtney Gilmour and Brad Wenzel, and co-founded “Gang’s All Here Comedy,” organizing and performing in sold-out events across the region.
Billy Squires, a prominent producer at the Windsor Comedy Club, has an engaging personality and comedic talent that have earned him spots opening for Randy and Lahey of Trailer Park Boys fame. He has performed at the African Princes of Comedy showcase and was a finalist in both the Border City Comedy Festival and the Kingpin of Comedy Competition in Grand Rapids.
CJ Erwin’s brutally honest and relatable comedy, inspired by his life as a husband and father, has made him a standout in Windsor. His work has been featured on major media platforms like CTV and CBC, and he’s a regular name in both the comedy and film scenes.
Tim Reaburn is known as the “Triple Threat” of Windsor Comedy. His dedication to the craft has earned him titles like Windsor’s Funniest Comedian and winner of Detroit’s Comedy Rumble. His love for joke writing and sharp wit keep audiences coming back for more.
Drae, a rising star in Windsor’s comedy scene, has already made his mark by producing Windsor’s first comedy show in a dispensary and opening for notable comedians like Josh Adams. Named Windsor’s Rookie of the Year in 2024, Drae blends his experiences from Toronto and Windsor into a uniquely relatable comedy style.
Isaac Aaron Mulder is a fresh face in comedy who quickly established himself as a producer for Brewing for Comedy and a regular host at the Windsor Comedy Club. He has opened for top comedians like Josh Adams and Dave Merheje, and his shows like “On the Spot” have become must-see events in Windsor.
Max Sheldrick began his comedy career in Windsor and Detroit before making a name for himself in Toronto. He has opened for comedy heavyweights like Colin Mochrie and Stavros Halkias and has performed at major festivals including Just For Laughs Toronto, Rusty Nail Comedy Festival, and more.
Jon “Jonny P” Peladeau has been a Windsor-based comedian and performer since 2010. Known for his hilariously over-the-top real-life stories and off-the-cuff audience interaction, Jonny quickly became a regular at comedy venues throughout Southern Ontario and Michigan. He has performed at large-scale events like Laughfest and Windsor Comedy Festival and has produced many successful local shows and events.
