Across the globe and throughout the centuries, humankind has used music as a way to share stories and emotions about their lives, loves and the time in which they lived. This concert showcases the complexity of emotions that world folk music evokes. Experience the heat and intrigue from the heart of Southern Spain with Manuel de Falla’s El Amor brujo suite. Travel back in time with Canadian composer, John Burge’s take on some homegrown Upper Canada fiddle music.
