WSO: Mendelssohn’s Italy
- This event has passed.
March 25, 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
With an evocative trip to Italy as his inspiration, German composer Felix Mendelssohn depicted the sights and sounds of Italy in his fourth symphony. Its final movement, which is among the most strongly dramatic music the composer ever wrote, uses the rhythms of Neapolitan dances.
