Summary: Dickinson Wright LLP is a full-service business law firm located in the heart of Walkerville. Staff designated at Dickinson Wright LLP (“the Firm”) as Legal/Administrative Assistants are responsible for providing professional support services to Lawyers and Clients of the Firm as assigned or otherwise necessary, on a full time basis, unless otherwise arranged with the Firm.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Essential duties and responsibilities of staff designated as Legal/Administrative Assistants at the Firm include but are not limited to:Preparation of court documents, actions, applications, affidavits of documents, requests to admit, motion records, factums etc;Scheduling appointments, court dates, examinations for discovery, mediations; andCommunicating effectively with clients.Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Required:Strong computer skills including knowledge of MSWord, ACL and CaseLines;Excellent spelling, grammar and proof-reading skills;Highly organized and detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters;Client focused;Team player with a positive attitude;Able to manage the administrative needs of the practices.Legal background would be an asset but not necessaryWorking Conditions:Normal law office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature.We offer a competitive compensation and benefit package.The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
