– Knowledge of the Logistics and Transportation Industry.- Possess sales skills like closing, prospecting, sales planning, and networking.- Manage, develop, and maintain client relationships by effectively transporting customers’ freight.- Work with the Operations Team to meet customers’ needs.- Build and maintain customer relationships, assess client specific needs, promote and sell services, and maintain sales goals and objectives.- Actively lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams preparing RFP, Bid, and Proposal documents.- Work closely with the Sales Director to develop territorial sales strategies, pricing, on-boarding customers, and managing the overall customer relationship.- Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure an effective focus on target customers.- Cold calling within geographic area.- Develop proposals according to clients' needs and expectations.- Manage and evaluate optimum routes and route profitability.- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.Qualifications- 3 years of sales experience and- Minimum 1 year experience within the Transportation Industry.- High school diploma is required.
