We are looking for a hardworking and motivated individual to work as an Traffic Control Person. In this key role you would be holding a stop sign directing and maintaining traffic for construction/repair projects you will be helping notify drivers of the need for reduced speeds or restricted lane flow. ABOUT THE POSITION This position involves controlling the flow of traffic at intersections, road construction sites. Using signs and other devices, that manage the movements of emergency response teams, construction workers and the general public. Erect warning and detour signs, position traffic cones and barricades, and inform the construction crew of any safety hazards. THE REQUIREMENTS Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong understanding and enforcement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act on site Must be willing to work flexible hours Standing for extended periods Controlling movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects Discuss traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points with superior visibility to oncoming traffic Distributes traffic control signs andmarkers along site in designated pattern Directs movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals Warns construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers COMPENSATION $20.00 HOW TO APPLY Please apply directly to this posting with the most recent version of your resume.
