Responsibilities Organize and manage the execution of building construction projects Consolidation of user requirements Interpret/convey user requirements to design consultants Tender and bid review processes, along with contract administration Maintain project cost control and project records through others Oversee commissioning of mechanical components Compile and complete all financial records and construction documentation Prepare concise cost estimates as required for each project Coordinate internal CAN POE Plant Operations and Environmental Services departments as necessary Monitor budgets during design and construction phases. Lead move coordination, commission and construction Manage product design drawings and specifications directly or through external consultants Provide input to the necessary consultants with regards to the preparation of mechanical, electrical and architectural drawings in conjunction with the needs of the user groups Handle tender difficulties and provide solutions to Sr. Management as required in conjunction with Construction Director of PEO. Provide leadership role to Project Team during user or site related redesigned occurring during the construction and commissioning of projects Qualifications Minimum of 4years Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering required P.Eng. designation or in progress is preferred. Recent, related successful experience in a Corporate Construction Management Role essential, ideally in a campus environment Significant, current project management experience in campus related construction required Proven advanced skill/competency in: Drawings (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical), construction details and contract law, Building materials, methods and standards of construction Proficient with MS Office, computers, cost control, verbal/written communication Working knowledge of building equipment including function and cost Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and collaborative problem-solving skills, attentive to quality production Possess superior time management, organization and prioritization skills in addressing multiple tasks and timelines Interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, decision making, negotiation and management technique Demonstrated competence in operating effectively as a member of a high-functioning team with minimum direction Dragados is an equal opportunity employer.
