The Propulsion System Electrified Powertrain (ePT) OBD Technical Specialist is responsible for providing calibration strategy direction for new and existing diagnostics to achieve best in class robust calibrations, meeting current and future regulatory requirements. The Electrified Powertrain (ePT) OBD Technical Specialist will work cross functionally with hardware development, controls and software development, program management, test fleet support, vehicle and compliance teams. The Electrified Powertrain (ePT) OBD Technical Specialist will coordinate with an international team of compliance specialists, controls engineers & calibrators on various programs. The Electrified Powertrain (ePT) OBD Technical Specialist will: have a competency in diagnostic control theory, performing complex data processes and optimization methods to ensure the calibration teams can achieve robust and compliant calibrations with efficient use of resources provide technical expertise to Center of Excellence (CoE) teams for calibration issues direct and prioritize CoE Team direction Responsible for providing technical direction to CoE, calibrators, control and software engineers assist in the review of new and existing diagnostic strategy, design documents, CoE documents, best practices, etc. lead cross functional team investigations when addressing robust design or compliance concerns with diagnostics write and coordinate support for software change request documents FCA Canada Inc. is committed to providing accommodation for people with accessibility needs due to disabilities in all aspects of the hiring process. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics Degree Minimum FIVE (5) years combined work experience in the area of propulsion systems development, controls and/or calibration Experience with Electrified Propulsion System hardware, function and control Proficient using INCA, Matlab and Simulink/Stateflow Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods Experience with Matlab scripting and other useful data processing languages/tool sets ex: Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, etc. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and database Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets) Excellent written and verbal communication skills and business acumen Self-motivated/proactive with strong leadership and interpersonal skills Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills Conflict and crisis management Legally eligible to work in Canada Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Knowledge of software and control validation tools such as HIL & SIL Knowledge of the dyno environment and tools related to it, such as: Puma, Cameo, Indicom, Concerto Stellantis
