MOLD SHOP LEADER Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has a challenging position for an experienced Mold Shop Leader in the Windsor/Essex area. Must have a valid drivers’ license and your own transportation. COMPANY PERKS AND BENEFITS: Direct Hire Position Day Shift opportunity available Overtime required Attractive benefit package with extended benefits, bonuses and other incentives Opportunity to be a part of the growth of this thriving company EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: 5 years’ experience as a hands-on Mold Shop Leader Interview, lead and train a team of moldmakers, machinists and apprentices Ensure molds are manufactured efficiently, accurately and to high quality Review work orders, technical design reviews and organize new builds Plan employee and trucking production schedules, set targets, and ensure molds are manufactured according to spec Monitor and manage production costs within budget constraints Liaise with Program Manager, implement quality procedures, inspect finished molds and ensure they meet clients’ requirements Strong understanding and experience with all moldmaking processes Set up preventative maintenance schedules and troubleshoot technical issues Effective communication with production team, other departments, and management Maintain records of production data, quality control reports, and other data EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Trade school Certification in Moldmaking preferred or relatable experience Management or leadership Certification or relatable experience HOURLY RANGE: Pays up to $35/hr Depending on experience Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: From $35.00 per hour Benefits: Casual dress Dental care Extended health care Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision care Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends as needed Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay Ability to commute/relocate: Windsor, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): Current wage expectations Experience: Mold Shop Leader: 4 years (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2023-09-18
