The Battery/Electrification (BEV) Engineer Supervisor is responsible for developing calibrations that achieve world-class drivability and optimized energy efficiency. The Battery/Electrification (BEV) Engineer Supervisor will develop calibration best practices for future BEV applications and analyze, plan, and solve complex system problems as they relate to calibration development. The successful candidate will manipulate and utilize large and complex sets of data and actively participate in the development of standard hardware and calibration development processes and procedures. The Battery/Electrification (BEV) Engineer Supervisor will participate in meetings with management, product design, and systems teams and present summaries and detailed reports on specific assignments. The Battery/Electrification (BEV) Engineer Supervisor will: lead the integration of the System HIL and leverage virtual resources for early calibration development perform calibration work, such as post processing data, generating calibration and technical reports according to the schedule of activities of the vehicle application project certify the quality of the measured data for the execution of the Basic Calibration activities be responsible for reporting status of development activities to the manager prepare and provide Technical reports of the activities carried out following the project’s Quality Gates schedule or whenever requested by the manager lead cross functional system resolution and CoE administration FCA Canada Inc. is committed to providing accommodation for people with accessibility needs due to disabilities in all aspects of the hiring process. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics Basic understanding of gasoline engine efficiency, performance, and emissions Minimum ONE (1) year combined work experience in the area of powertrain development and/or calibration Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets) Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently Effective communication and interpersonal skills Good interpersonal relationship Ability to work as a team Conflict and crisis management Legally eligible to work in Canada Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods Knowledge of software and equipment for engine calibration, MATLAB, measurement and analysis (Inca-Etas / Horiba) Knowledge of the dyno environment and tools related to it, such as: Puma, Cameo, Indicom, Concerto Experience with Matlab scripting and other useful data processing languages/tool sets ex: Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, etc. Experience with Formula SAE Stellantis
