The eMotor Calibration Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading a cross functional team which is dedicated to the successful development and deployment of the next generation of FCA's Electrified Propulsion Systems. The scope of responsibility is focused on the application of Motor control systems into production for Battery electric vehicle and Hybrid powertrains. The eMotor Calibration Engineering Supervisor will lead the calibration team in achieving key program milestones, and communicate status and risk to Sr. Leadership through formalized program reviews as the lead point of contact for Calibration and Applications for that program. The eMotor Calibration Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for effort estimations, budgets and technical program management relative to electric motor development. The chosen candidate will track critical dates and calibration maturity status, and work with the cross functional team to identify enablers and critical needs for the calibration team. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to set/stretch goals, create and sustain energy and focus around business goals while continually identifying and cultivating key contributors. The individual will lead teams and drive standardization of engineering processes and application of best practices. This individual will have also demonstrated the ability to build, communicate, and execute a vision for strategic and operational change and create a sense of urgency throughout the organization. The eMotor Calibration Engineering Supervisor must be a team player, supporting and promoting team accomplishments versus personal achievement, with a proven ability to drive change and bring projects to fruition through influence and collaboration across the organization in a highly fluid environment. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree Minimum SEVEN (7) years of professional experience in Automotive or similar industry, related to embedded controls systems Experience in production powertrain calibration development Minimum THREE (3) years' experience leading/managing a team of engineers Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and with others High level of analytic ability and creativity Ability to balance work effectively on multiple projects Capable of establishing and implementing strategic initiatives and of leading change with respect to a Physics, Model-Based Development process Action a disciplined design, development, and verification process to ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction Must be skillful in cross functional team problem solving and have strong knowledge of all the functional areas that are supporting the team Must be able to evaluate the project level situations, make hard decisions for the good of the program and to meet the program objectives Exhibit strong leadership presence by engaging management as necessary to ensure project objectives are achieved and remove barriers where appropriate Travel to corporate and supplier engineering facilities around the world Strong communication and presentation skills Legally eligible to work in Canada Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering or Business Management Knowledge of control system development tools such as Matlab Simulink and GT Power Electrified Powertrain Calibration Development, specifically motor control/calibration Experience in motor design and development and/or Powertrain Systems Engineering Stellantis
