In this position, you will report to the District Business Manager and promote NNCI products (Novo Nordisk Canada Inc.). You will establish strategic business relationships with endocrinologists, primary care physicians and other targeted specialists such as diabetes nurse educators, nurse practitioners and pharmacists, as well as other relevant health care professionals. You will represent and support diabetes educators and pharmacists in community and hospital settings. In addition, you will represent Novo Nordisk at selected key academic/obesity centres, as well as with major community/teaching hospitals as a leader in the diabetes care market, in an assigned territory and in the surrounding territories. Key Areas of Responsibility: Develops, implements, and maintains the territory’s business plan to promote NNCI brands to Health Care Practitioners. Regularly consults with informs t manager of activities, market trends and territory-related issues. Analyzes sales data to determine progress and identify opportunities for sales growth improvement and incorporates the data into the territory plan. Personalizes commercial visits based on the needs of targeted health care providers and the opportunities that arise with them. Organizes and conducts product training sessions in accordance with budget guidelines. Liaises with pharmacists and hospitals in the community to ensure the correct and optimal use of the of NNCI products. Attends conferences, symposia and seminars to represent NNCI products and stay informed on latest therapeutic information promote the company’s products and provide up-to-date information to customers, as well as to obtain and share market information where appropriate. Participates in national sales meetings, district meetings and training programs as required. Manages the budgets of the territory’s continuing medical education activities and the standard budget. Skills and Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred At least 2 to 4 years of experience selling pharmaceuticals. Will have to travel often in the area and travel occasionally for a period of more than 24 hours.
