This is a permanent position with hourly rate, bonus, benefits, and RRSP matching. Hours worked over 44 per week will be time and a half. The base salary is 95-110k. There will be regular local travel and 1 week away roughly every 6 months. The ideal candidate will have experience with facilities design.Responsibilities:Design and Development of schematics.Facilities design including lighting layouts, SLD, power distribution, load calculations, and panel schedules.Contribute to the improvement of existing products by providing insightful modifications and updates, thereby ensuring our offerings remain at the forefront of technology.Create comprehensive technical specifications, conduct thorough analysis, and define rigorous testing requirements that underpin the design process.Offer hands-on support during the build process, ensuring that your designs are translated into functional equipment accurately.System Integration and TestingBuild strong relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technologist diploma.6 years+ experience of electrical design experience.Strong knowledge of ESA, CSA, and other industry standardsExperience performing fieldwork with minimum supervision.Experience working with an Engineering Consulting firm strongly preferred.Instrumentation and control experience considered an asset.Strong experience in 2D and 3D AutoCAD is a must.Proficiency in Revit required.Experience in BIM 360 and Inventor.Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Software.Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.Highly motivated, with superb interpersonal and leadership skills.Must have superior time management skills and the ability to multi-task with multiple projects.A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.Must be eligible to obtain a work permit in the United States.Be willing and able to cross the border, for required support of US customers.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $95,000.00-$110,000.00 per yearBenefits:Commuter benefitsDental careExtended health careLife insurancePaid time offRRSP matchVision careSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayNo weekendsSupplemental pay types:Overtime payExperience:Electrical design: 6 years (required)Lighting, fire alarm, arc flash design: 5 years (required)Revit: 5 years (required)2D and 3D AutoCAD: 5 years (required)Work Location: In person
