We are currently recruiting an experienced Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry NOTE: Remote Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record RESPONSIBILITIES: Analysis to support advanced vehicle programs with component and sub system specifications to meet full vehicle performance targets for Ride, Handling and Steering Integral with the team and work with test engineers, program team and the component release teams Offline Validation, preparing Driver In the Loop models and HIL/SIL integration as necessary for supporting the recommendations REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering 3 years of engineering experience Solid understanding of system/component design/development processes Familiarity with Vehicle Ride, Handling, and Steering, and associated simulation techniques Understanding of the subsystems and components – (e.g. Suspension Kinematics/Compliance, tires, springs, shocks and steering/Braking systems Experience with Simulation tools (e.g. ADAMS Car, CARSIM, MATLAB, EXCEL) Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and the ability to coordinate activities Self-starter with demonstrated problem solving and work planning ability PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to develop custom routines e.g. Visual Basic, Python, MATLAB Experience with Hardware In the Loop, Software in the Loop & Driver in the Loop Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis(DFMEA) Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) method Ability to extract component detail from NX, Teamcenter Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to summarize and present work to management and cross-functional teams OTHER PERKS & BENEFITS: Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc. Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October) MEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
