As a member of the Legal and Administration team, reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, you will be responsible for the oversight of recruitment, including attracting, networking, and welcoming new talent, assisting with the development of organizational recruitment strategy, and the development of a formal recruitment program. This role will serve as a strategic partner throughout the organization, fulfilling hiring objectives for all departments while sourcing key talent to fulfill WDBA’s current and forecasted recruitment needs. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work in collaboration with department managers to understand and support business strategy and develop long term talent staffing plans. This position will be a first point of contact throughout the recruitment cycle and will support a positive candidate and employee experience. Position Requirements Ø University/college degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration degree with a concentration in Human Resources Ø Experience using talent sourcing platforms (LinkedIn, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, University job posting boards, etc) is considered an asset Ø 3-4 years of related recruitment experience Ø Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing Ø Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships inside and outside of the organization Ø Strong time management and organizational skills and attention to detail to manage work, competing deadlines and sensitive projects Ø Ability to build and maintain positive relationships Ø Team player, able to work effectively with all levels of the organization Ø Self-starter with a high degree of initiative Ø Professionalism, tact, and reasoning capabilities Ø Ability to maintain confidentiality Ø Able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities with a positive attitude Ø Demonstrated problem-solving and influencing skills Ø Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office skills Ø Proficiency in Microsoft Teams Ø Knowledge of Canada Labour Code, considered an asset Ø Knowledge of current and awareness of emerging legislative obligations and their application in the workplace Ø Knowledge of the Hay job evaluation tool, considered an asset Ø Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Personnel Screening/Security Clearance Ø Ability to travel within Ontario and Michigan Ø Hours of work may include evenings and weekends Working at WDBA Our work offers a perfect balance of reward and challenge.
