The Propulsion System Reliability Engineer is responsible for developing engine calibrations that achieve world-class vehicle fuel economy and drivability, meeting current and future emission standards. The Propulsion System Reliability Engineer will coordinate with an international team of calibrators on various programs. The Propulsion System Reliability Engineer will have a competency in performing complex data processes and optimization methods to achieve performance, fuel consumption, emissions, and combustion stability targets; Perform calibration work, such as post processing data, generating calibration and technical reports according to the schedule of activities of the vehicle application project; Certify the quality of the measured data for the execution of the Basic Calibration activities; Be responsible for reporting status of development activities to the manager; and Prepare and provide Technical reports of the activities carried out following the project’s Quality Gates schedule or whenever requested by the manager. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics Degree Basic understanding of gasoline engine efficiency, performance, and emissions Minimum ONE (1) year combined work experience in the area of powertrain development and/or calibration Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets) Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently Effective communication and interpersonal skills Good interpersonal relationship Ability to work as a team Conflict and crisis management Legally eligible to work in Canada Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods Knowledge of software and equipment for engine calibration, MATLAB, measurement and analysis (Inca-Etas / Horiba) Knowledge of the dyno environment and tools related to it, such as: Puma, Cameo, Indicom, Concerto Experience with Matlab scripting and other useful data processing languages/tool sets ex: Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, etc… Experience with Formula SAE Stellantis
