Security Analyst / Threat Specialist (Contract) Starting Salary: $80,000 Invest WindsorEssex (IWE) is the lead not-for-profit economic development corporation responsible for advancing economic development to grow and sustain prosperity in the Windsor-Essex region. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Automobility and Innovation, the Security Analyst / Threat Specialist is an integral part of the Automobility and Innovation Centre (AIC) and the University of Windsor’s SHIELD Automotive Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence. This position will develop and operate an industry threat management system for automotive related products (vehicle, infrastructure and V2x enabled products). The system will support companies with a threat catalog which can be used as a basis for their own risk assessment and management activities. Working with a multitude of stakeholders, this position will lead two key programs as part of the Windsor Essex Regional Technology Development Site (WE RTDS) as part of the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN). This position is funded through a provincial grant and is for a limited term contract position. The potential extension of the employment contract is contingent upon receiving additional funding and if the position is still required. Major Responsibilities · Work closely with the OVIN Program Manager to support reporting requirements as per funding agreements · Collect and evaluate threats related to automotive products and infrastructure · Model threats in a risk management tool · Create user documentation and customer presentations · Collect user feedback and develop requirements for improvement · Lead a technical committee to review and release community change requests · Lead customer meetings and support questions · Support Ontario-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s) in developing automotive products and technologies to test their products and help achieve desired cybersecurity outcomes Required Educational/Skills · Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification (MSc or PhD or Cyber Security specialization is an asset) · At least five years of experience working in security related field (automotive related an asset) · Understanding of threat modeling techniques for product development, threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA) for system development · Working knowledge of security processes, methods and technologies · Familiarity with Automotive Security Standards and Regulations (e.g., UNECE WP29 and ISO 21434) · Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills · Self-Motivated, collaborative, and solution-oriented thinking · Extremely flexible to function in a continuously demanding and dynamic environment · Resourceful to act on demands and solve problems · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Demonstrate professionalism, good judgement, tact, diplomacy and discretion · Analytical and systematic with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently · Accurate and detail-oriented Expectations · Participation in regular virtual meetings · Regular commenting and task management in JIRA and/or GitHub · Ongoing project tracking to support SME’s using HubSpot CRM tool Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract Salary: From $80,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off RRSP match Vision care Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: cybersecurity: 5 years (preferred) threat analysis: 1 year (preferred) automotive security standards: 1 year (preferred) Application deadline: 2022-07-11
