OPERATIONS MANAGER Role Description Reporting to the CFO/COO, MAP Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and the accounting function at corporate and client-practice level. Tasks Oversee operations of client practices and implementation of strategic initiatives. Perform financial analysis for projects. Analyse, improve and standardize accounting/financial processes. Recruit, train, review and manage performance of staff members. Develop and facilitate employee workshops as needed to improve productivity, employee and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with business advisors and team leads at the client-practices to accomplish operational goals. Assist with onboarding new clients along with sourcing new providers for existing client-practices. Record, store and analyse information using accounting software. Comply with company and government policies, procedures and regulations. Prepare and process payroll information. Knowledge, skills and abilities Knowledge of accounting practices and principles and familiar with accounting/ bookkeeping software. Knowledge of business and management principles including financial management. Coaching and mentoring and supervisory skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Software. Detail oriented, trustworthy, perceptive in a way that can sense minor issues before they turn into big problems. Excellent organizational skills and critical thinking. Ability to work in fast paced environments. Education and Experience Requirements Post-secondary degree in accounting. Five-year or more work experience working in accounting and managing staff members. Experience managing medical, dental or health care clinic is an asset. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business or related degree specializing in accounting or finance.
