What you will be doing… Lead, direct, and supervise daily multi trades and skill level workforce including Journeypersons, Apprentices, and Production Maintenance team members. Daily analysis of production schedule, labour costs, productivity, equipment status (PM’s) and capital spend for the department; recommend, and implement plans for variance to budget. Ensure employees complete work activities safely and without jeopardizing product quality as well as meet company’s Maintenance standards. Develop department personnel skills and abilities, completion of the company’s Maintenance Standards and supervise implementation. Organize and assign work activities by type and class, ensuring employee comprehension as well as daily productivity against standards. Maintain Maintenance Performance Scorecard. Monitor and evaluate employee performance through periodic inspections of employee’s work progress and work performance, tracking actual vs. estimated spend ratios. Maintain and enforce company policies and procedures, measuring through Employee Absenteeism levels and observations. Active participation on various task force teams and committees, developing policies and procedures and programs to enhance safety, quality, productivity to attain goals. Why this is the right job for you… Minimum five years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment. Certification of Qualification: 433A Industrial Maintenance Mechanic required Good understanding of can seaming principles. Knowledge of Pressure Vessels Act. Ability to adapt quickly. Communicate clearly and effectively to subordinates. Proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to motivate, encourage, and coach employees to meet our quality and productivity objectives.
