Job DescriptionRLG is seeking Contract Administrators for the Windsor Location. The Contract Administrator will perform the following duties in order to plan, coordinate, and complete assignments for the inspection, collection, analysis and reporting of residential Blue Box materials. Initially, in this role you will be supporting the pre-transition efforts for the province-wide Common Collection System (CCS), slated to begin July 1, 2023. After which, you will be supporting the RLG team with contract compliance.Key tasks and processes include, but may not be limited to:First point of contact with Receiving Facility(ies) and Eligible Community Contractors(s)Create, modify, complete, and file compliance checklists that verify all contractual obligations are being satisfiedComplete data analysis and reconciliation of contractor data and submit invoices accordinglyRequest, receive, review, and file all compliance documents by contract deadlinesIdentify, communicate and resolve contract deficiencies/violations in a timely mannerFollow up and document deficiencies/violations and resolution(s)Escalate issues that cannot reasonably be addressed to RLG managementMaintain all documents related to the contract(s) in a centralized filing systemProvide support and training to Receiving Facility (RF) and Eligible Community (EC) Contractor(s) to ensure contract compliance and data reporting requirements are satisfiedComplete data analysis, reconciliation, identify errors and ensure corrections are made by the EC Collection Contractor(s) in a timely mannerInput data into centralized systems as requiredIdentify, assess, and report risks, issues, concerns, and opportunities for improvement for consideration by RLG ManagementEnsure all compliance documents are requested, received, reviewed and filed by contract deadlinesRespond to and coordinate emergency and contingency issues, where necessaryOversee the collection, preparation, storage, and shipment of material samples to a centralized RLG auditing facilityOversee the delivery of blue box materials from all EC sources to the approved RF.Undertake regular site visits and physical inspections of RFsEnsure contract compliance at the approved RF with regards to wait times, weigh scale protocols, tipping procedures etc.Comfortable driving/travelling in inclement weather throughout Ontario Comfortable working around large equipment such as front end loaders, skid steers, transport trucks etc.Willing to work outside in all weather conditions at a waste management facilityWilling to work outside of normal business hours, as overtime, as requiredOther duties as assignedYour Experience:Minimum 3 years operational contract administration and compliance experienceMinimum 2 years of proven experience meeting deliverables while working remotely at various locationsProject Management experience would be considered an assetProven experience working in an operational environment with tight deadlinesExperience with data analytics, logistics, waste management service delivery, contract management, project management and communicationsExperience performing program audits, identifying deficiencies, and recommending correctionsKnowledge of various municipal, provincial, and federal legislation (e.g., Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Protection, by-laws etc.)Experience working in the waste management industry considered an assetYour Profile:Driven, outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze, visualize and interpret complex information and situationsCustomer service focusedAdvanced verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to draft detailed reports, draft presentations and accurately transcribe field notesHighly organized with a proven ability to compose, scan, collect and upload all relevant contract documents to an electronic document management systemExcellent people skills with a proven ability to identify and communicate contract deficiencies/violations in a timely and professional mannerCompetent when working independently, and within teamsCapable at working with high efficiency and accuracy, under time pressuresConfident in the Microsoft Office environmentSelf-confident, with outstanding communication skills and a “hands-on” mentalityTake a collaborative approach while effectively managing relationships with proven experience working in a cross-functional team structureWillingness to travel within a geographical area(s) of the province several times per weekValid Ontario driver’s license (G class) and acceptable driving recordAbility to speak French would be an assetWhat to expect:Comprehensive employer paid health and dental benefitsEmployer matching of employee RSP contributionRLG is supportive of professional development and training, with opportunities to work globallyRLG has a dynamic and international working environment: thirty-nine nationalities with diverse backgroundsTech enabled processes and hybrid work environmentPosition will work in the field, and from your home office; reports to CCS, Manager.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Dental careDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programExtended health careLife insurancePaid time offRRSP matchVision careFlexible Language Requirement:French not requiredSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: On the road
