Job description Dietary Aid/Cook As a Dietary Aide your typical day will impact in the following ways: Following proper food handling techniques. Dates, labels, and stores food properly. Keeping work area clean and uncluttered, and completes scheduled cleaning duties. Maintaining cleanliness of floors in the food preparation, dish room, and storage areas. Supporting all aspects of optimal food service to meet the needs of the residents in accordance with infection control, quality management, legislative requirements and the organization standards. Assisting in the preparation of meals, serving meals and beverages, following residents' diets and food preferences, using proper portion sizes. Setting and clearing tables in the dining rooms and washing/sanitizing tables, chairs, and serveries. Performing other duties as assigned. Must be willing to work every second weekend, holidays and shifts between the hours of 07:00-20:30 Qualifications: 1 year experience in a Long Term Care setting as asset Valid Food Handlers Certificate Food Service Worker Certificate (Enrolled or completed) Vulnerable Police Clearance (6 months valid) Must be available to work every other weekend and all holidays Fully vaccinated (2 doses) Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Salary: $38,695.00-$47,294.00 per year Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Salary: $19.87 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Night shift
