Job Summary Reporting to the Senior Manager Legal & Compliance, Windsor Casino Limited, the Legal Assistant provides administrative and clerical support. Job Duties Routes incoming internal and external mail and locates or attaches appropriate file/information for the review and/or response. Liaises with departments and outside agencies to complete assignments. Takes dictation, meeting minutes, composes routine correspondence and drafts cheque requests. Screens incoming telephone calls and arranges conference calls and/or schedules meetings. Creates files, files documentation and closes/archives files as required. Coordinates and maintains schedules. Maintaining a Bring-Forward system. Makes copies of correspondence and other printed materials. Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mails and faxes. Arranges for equipment maintenance. Tracks incident information and payments to patrons with respect to property damage, injuries and illnesses on a daily basis. Maintains Corporate Fleet information. Co-ordinates with departments with respect to various regulatory requirements. Opens and maintains Patron Incidents and Statements of Claim files and liaises with insurance adjuster and outside counsel. Composes, distributes and maintains quarterly and annual reports and renewals. Acts as a backup to Responsible Gaming Specialist. Complies with Windsor Casino Limited policies and procedures. Performs any and all related tasks as assigned by management. Upholds the highest standard of ethical and confidentiality practices at all times. Job Qualifications Equivalent to a certificate in administrative studies or a related field of study. Minimum two years legal or administrative experience or experience deemed acceptable by Windsor Casino Limited. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute. Ability to obtain a Gaming Employee License. Physical Demands: Physical Effort requiring manual dexterity is frequently required. (i.e. between 25% and 75% of time on the job) Must possess a good attendance record as stipulated in the Casino Windsor Non-Union Attendance Management policy.
