Centrally located Retirement home providingIndependent and AssistedLiving is seeking qualified Personal Support Workers.The Personal Support Worker, under the direction of theimmediate Supervisor, provides Resident Focused care services to Residents andassists Residents with the activities of daily living as described in the careplan, and in accordance with all required internal standards of practice whichare in accordance with the Resident Bill of Rights, Retirement Home Act and TheRetirement Home Regulatory Authority.DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES Providepersonal care that is within the provincial scope of practice for a PersonalSupport Worker; duties may include skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing,bowel and bladder care, positioning and movement, exercise, basic wound care,feeding including special diets, and assistance with oxygen administration andmedication reminder. Observeand document client conditions according to company standards; report unusualevents or changes in the client’s condition to the immediate Supervisor.Understand and implement infection prevention practices. Completerequired annual education and participate in ongoing internal and/or externaleducation activities. Adhereto Companys Policies and Procedures. Maintainsconfidentiality of client and company information and discusses same only withappropriate personnel. Completeother tasks as required.
