NextStar Energy is a joint venture between Stellantis and LG Energy Solution (LGES). This partnership has been formed to create Canada’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production with a new manufacturing facility currently under construction in Windsor, Ontario Canada. NextStar Energy is currently seeking candidates to fill a Production Engineer role. In this role the successful candidate will be a self-motivated problem solver that is able to troubleshoot and document findings based on their practical experience with automotive and industry standards and their mechanical and engineering knowledge. NextStar Energy will train and develop the successful candidate in battery manufacturing through an extensive training program which will include training abroad for a 6-month period. During that time, the successful candidate will gain experience in battery manufacturing production, diagnosing, and investigating issues that may arise from production, equipment, and inspection. Following training the successful candidate will support the launch of production, analyze production issues, root cause issues, and supervise a team of technicians and operators at the newly constructed site in Windsor, Ontario. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Electronic/Electrical Engineering; or Industrial Engineering Minimum THREE (3) years of experience in manufacturing engineering Battery manufacturing experience preferred Able to travel internationally for training upon hire Legally authorized to work in Canada Preferred Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint) Battery manufacturing experience
