Plant and maintain lawns, shrubs and trees on both residential and commercial sites Snow removal hours during winter season Operate and maintain a variety of equipment including back hoes, bobcats, tillers, sod cutters, weed eaters, chain saws and drills Interact with customers to troubleshoot and solve landscape problems Assist the Crew Leader in planning and organizing jobs, ensuring required materials are onsite and jobs are completed in an effective, safe and timely mannerThorough knowledge of different plant, shrub and tree varieties and standard horticultural practices i.e. planting, pruning, fertilizing, etc. Excellent oral and written communication Problem solving Ability to manage multiple priorities and jobs Ability to make decisions and work independently and within a crew environmentLove of working outdoors is essential and the willingness to work in bad weather conditions i.e. rain, high humidity and heat and cold weather Can lift a minimum of 20 kilograms During the peak season is willing to work a six day work week with extended hours
