POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Clerk works under direction of Human Resources Manager and provides clerical support to the Department. The HR Clerk will strictly adhere to confidentiality policy, will present professional attitude, good judgement, and discretion. Able to effectively manage multiply priorities, work well under pressure and tight deadlines. Flexibility and ability to thrive in ever changing work environment is a must. Advanced Word and Excel knowledge required, familiarity with HRIS -HR Bamboo an asset. RESPONSIBILITIES: Attendance Assist in managing attendance records, monitor and verify submitted time off requests, communicate with managers/supervisors regarding timesheets entries, resolves discrepancies Update HRIS in a timely and accurate manner Work collaboratively with accounting department to ensure all information is reconciled and agrees with accounting records Payroll Verify and validate HR Bamboo time sheets and attendance reports for payroll processing Report to HR Manager any missing and/or incorrect time sheets Verify all processed time sheets for any arithmetical errors or omissions Verify entries in HR Bamboo against attendance reports File documents after payroll has been completed Benefits Administration Assist in administration of both: extended health and dental benefits and RRSP by providing all necessary clerical support as it relates to enrolment, updates, changes, and notifications to staff Maintain and update files as necessary Uniform Policy Administration Assists in uniform policy administration Maintains accurate records of ordered items, performs physical inventory checks Place orders for uniform shirts and name badges Follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from University or Community College in Human Resources or Administration program Minimum 3 years of experience in the field Working knowledge of ESA and HR legal framework Effective oral and written communication skills Working knowledge of issues impacting immigrants and refugees Demonstrated knowledge of anti-racism and cultural sensitivity awareness Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Salary: $19.00-$25.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Life insurance RRSP match Vision care Schedule: 4 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Work Location: One location
