The DRE role will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and production release and launch of the power closure systems.This will involve reviewing and applying DFMEA’s, DVPR’s, performance standards, and conducting validation tests for these components; working with cross functional team members; support plant launches by ensuring components are designed and being applied as per design intent; and check designs against design guidelines, corporate requirements, and regulatory requirements Requirements:***Hybrid Some time at ARDC onsite for testing. Travel to the US for meetings 1-2 times per month .Requirements:· 3-5 years of design/release experience in automotive components· Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace/Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university· Experience with any of the following body hardware components: latches, window regulators, door hardware, mechanisms, electromechanical, power lift gate, sunroofs, power closures, aero, active grill shutters, lift gate, tail gate, closures, convertible tops, mirrors· Excellent program management, communication skills· Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint Preferred Requirements· Master’s degree in Engineering or Business, as accredited by ABET or ABET equivalent. ***A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace/Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering is still the minimum requirement. · Experience with NX and Teamcenter Experience with· Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)· Knowledge of Shanin Red X or other reactive quality tools· Automotive assembly plant and/or program launch experienc Job Type: Fixed term contract Contract length: 12 months Pay: $40.00-$42.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday
