Fourteen Sky Lounge and Restaurant is in search of an experienced, motivated General Manager to join our team in Windsor, Ontario We specialize in casual/fine dining and have a 170-seat capacity. The General Manager is responsible for the following: Duties & Responsibilities Upholding the highest quality standards for food, service and financial management. Create an environment that is warm, welcoming and filled with positivity for guests and employees. Have ability to manage our restaurants with a high level of attention to detail and hospitality. Ensuring training and proper supervision of Team Members on all restaurant procedures. Build a strong cohesive relationship with kitchen staff and serving staff. Spread the enthusiasm and energy among all of our team members. Managing scheduling, labour and product cost control, and inventory Understanding and interpreting P&L’s and other financial statements. Manages all aspects of staff performance in accordance with established service standards, ensure staff knows and adheres to established steps of service and service standards. Monitors adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards Ensure compliance with restaurant security procedures, inclusive of alcohol regulations, ensure a safe working environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team and guests Maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures Complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems. Maintains restaurant cleanliness and upholds esthetics standard. Interacts with guests, to ensure all inquiries, guest recovery and complaints are handled promptly. Implementation and execution on marketing and promotional activities through social media Appropriately adapts to seasonal changes and creates and manages relevant initiatives. Arranges for maintenance and repairs of equipment and services. Qualifications 2-3 years of previous restaurant management experience in a comparable restaurant environment and volume. Comfortable using computers and learning new software. Previous scheduling experience and Smart Serve Certification. Demonstrated experience with decision making, process improvement, strategic planning, customer focus, management proficiency, managing profitability, quality control Knowledge in Health and Safety Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Excellent oral/written communication skills Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: Evening shift Every Weekend Experience: Hospitality: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: Smart Serve (preferred) Work Location: In person
