The Drivability Verification and Media Fleet Engineer will be a part of the propulsion systems drivability and benchmarking team. This individual will analyze in-vehicle drivability assessments on FCA/Stellantis vehicles (hybrid, electric) , and in dyno or virtual simulation laboratories. The Drivability Verification and Media Fleet Engineer will report results to guide propulsion system calibration development in the areas of electronic throttle controls, torque map, torque filtering, shift patterns, torque converter, and shift quality, along with engine start/stop and idle control. The Drivability Verification and Media Fleet Engineer will review data with calibration engineers to address shortcomings based on subjective and objective metrics. The Drivability Verification and Media Fleet Engineer will recommend calibration strategies based on competitive benchmarking data. The Drivability Verification and Media Fleet Engineer will gain valuable experience utilizing advance calibration equipment and tools such as ETAS/INCA , AVL, and Matlab. The Drivability Verification and Media Fleet Engineer will learn to update the hybrid, engine, and transmission software, debug cars, and gain an understanding of controls and interactive features between the eMotor, battery, engine, and transmission. The Drivability Verification and Media Fleet Engineer will: review data with calibration engineers to address shortcomings based on subjective and objective metrics; recommend calibration strategies based on competitive benchmarking data; gain valuable experience utilizing advanced calibration equipment and tools such as ETAS/INCA , AVL, and Matlab; and learn to update the hybrid, engine, and transmission software, debug cars, and gain an understanding of controls and interactive features between the eMotor, battery, engine, and transmission. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive engineering Minimum of SIX (6) months formal or academic experience working with Powertrain in an engineering capacity Experience analyzing data and forming conclusions Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills Possess a valid driver’s license Experience reading and interpreting documentation / motor control strategies (MATLAB / Simulink) Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets) Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently Effective communication and interpersonal skills Good interpersonal relationship Ability to work as a team Conflict and crisis management Legally eligible to work in Canada Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods Experience with Formula SAE Experience with drivability testing utilizing AVL Drive Experience with ETAS/INCA Experience with AVL drive and/or Matlab Stellantis
