Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Hotel Sales & Hotel Operations, the Manager of Convention Services details and services rooms and meeting space to groups, both externally and internally, ensuring the goals and objectives that are set out are achieved. Job Duties Sells audio-visual and banquet food & beverage to all groups, both internal and external, ensuring the maximization of meeting space utilization, and hotel group and banquet food & beverage revenues. Effectively communicates with all other departments regarding details for all group meetings/events and requirements to ensure a truly memorable experience for the customer. Attend bi-weekly sales, weekly banquet event order, and other meetings as required by the Director of Hotel & Convention Sales. Responsible for the detailing of all meetings, conventions, weddings, and social functions held on property. Responsible for the booking arrangements for all internal (in-house) groups to include Special Events and Internal Meetings. Responds to client requests in a timely manner. Promotes Caesars Windsor using site inspections including use of the restaurant facilities for booking opportunities. Liaises with local community organizations and actively participates in one or more events to maintain a presence in the local market. Assists in the organization of and attends pre-convention meetings for each group with special needs and ensures that all clients are contacted during conventions or special events. Conducts follow up with clients at the conclusion of their meeting/event to obtain feedback on their experience and communicates the results to all departments involved. Provides client feedback to the Sales Manager on the account for follow up / prospecting new and repeat business. Works closely with the Director of Hotel & Convention Sales to resolve any complaints related to group bookings. Provides support at trade shows as required to further support the sales process. Generates correspondence, proposals, and group contracts with respect to cost estimates for meetings/events and A/V rentals. Works closely with the local Destination Marketing Organization, local Chamber of Commerce, local Rotary organizations and other local Social Organizations. Responds to groups in a timely manner to obtain details regarding all aspects of the group/meeting including menu selection, billing, and room block. Is available on-property during major group functions that not only occur during normal business hours, but events that may occur in evenings and on weekends. Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction, throughout the Hotel & Convention Sales Department and entire property is achieved and maintained. Responsible for meeting or exceeding the Monthly A/V Revenue Targets as approved by the Director of Hotel & Convention Sales. Complies with Casino Windsor Limited policies and procedures where applicable. Performs any and all related tasks as assigned by management. Job Qualifications Equivalent to a College Diploma in Business or a related field of study. Two years previous experience in a high volume conference service function. Knowledge of Delphi, word processing applications, spread-sheeting applications, industry related software applications including and e-mail applications. Ability to communicate effective, both verbally and in writing. Ability to obtain a police clearance. Physical Demands: Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is frequently required. (i.e. between 25% and 75% of time on the job) On call availability 24 hours. Must possess a good attendance record as stipulated in the Casino Windsor Non-Union Attendance Management Policy.
