Until Substantial Completion, the OMR Manager is responsible for the management of all operations, maintenance, and rehabilitation functions related to the Gordie Howe International Bridge Project, except accounting and finance functions led by the Chief Financial Officer. The OMR Manager is expected to have a thorough understanding of the Project Agreement, Interface Agreement, and all scope elements for BNAOM.
Interactions and Relationships
The OMR Manager provides support to the SPV (BNAGP) and Construction Contractor. Primary interactions with the SPV occur between the OMR Manager and BNAGP representatives, including the CEO, Technical Director, and Quality Manager. Support provided to the Construction Contractor occurs with the managers and design coordinators for the Canadian POE, Bridge, and US POE project elements.
OMR Manager is responsible for scheduling of and leading the monthly Interface Committee meeting with BNAGP and the Construction Contractor along with the BNAOM Board meetings.
Design support for the Project is provided directly by the OMR Manager using sound engineering judgement in the review of design drawings, specifications and other submittals related to assets within the OMR Limits. The OMR Manager also coordinates design support from ACS, Fluor, and Aecon as required and if specific expertise is required. OMR Manager collects all OMR related design support comments, submits to the Construction Contractor, and attends comment resolution meetings.
OMR Manager is responsible for the review of construction quality concerns, design change notices (DCNs), field change requests (FCRs), and other construction issues that arise that may affect the OMR Work and providing appropriate feedback and direction to the Construction Contractor.
