Visual artist Quinn Smallboy is a native of Moose Factory, Ontario, and a revered member of Moose Cree First Nation.

With a Masters in Fine Arts from Western University in London, Smallboy also holds a diploma in multimedia and production design from Fanshawe College.

Smallboy’s practice has been an exploration of what it means to be a contemporary Indigenous artist, and uses the customary icons and symbols of his culture and background in his paintings, sculptures and installations.

Having been featured in numerous public and private galleries, including DNA Art Gallery, McIntosh Gallery and Woodland Cultural Centre, Smallboy is proud to be part of the elite group of artists featured in downtown Windsor’s vibrant Art Alley. His string installation, standing at an impressive 72 feet long, is a thoughtful, abstract interpretation of roses.
